Goals

When you think of the topic of "Science", what is the first thing that comes to mind? A microscope emoji shows up when I type science on my phone. Perhaps a model of DNA or the Periodic Table suits your tastes? Some may visualize charts and graphs showing various data points. Or maybe you think of people in lab coats and goggles looking intently at bright colored fluids in flasks.

Science.

For me, science is summed up in one word:

Inspiration.

How many times have you heard about your left brain versus your right brain; the notion that one of them "dominates" your personality? Well, it's crap, basically.

But it makes for good advertising.

I for one am sick and tired of the notion that science, math, and analyzing the world around you is a cold and emotionless undertaking. Sure, the process of Science is set up in a way that is supposed to take our biases out of the results. We humans are fallible bunch of organisms with our own preconceived notions, incorrect predictions, and individual prejudices.

Almost forgot to mention Pride.

But here's what so many people tend to forget about Science: Taking what you know now, and using that knowledge to imagine what could be in the future takes creativity! Making connections between things that seem unrelated, brainstorming world-changing ideas for the future, making the next big breakthrough a reality...it takes the entire power of the human brain (sometimes many human brains working in sync) to do this. It takes concrete knowledge and abstract thinking to build the future...it takes inspired minds to dream of what could be.

Do You Mind?

This brings me to my goals for a more scientific and inspired future. I have always felt like I would do something to make the world a better place...improve humanity with my presence in some way. My belief is that making the language of the Sciences commonplace will only improve humanity. I want to write the next great book series that will make the vocabulary of many Sciences mainstream topics of conversation among all ages. As this knowledge permeates through all walks of life, imaginations will run amok and minds will begin to wonder, "What If?..."

I want to inspire Scientific Creativity.

It's a lofty and perhaps crazy dream, but I'm up for the challenge. My future blogs will be a mix of amazing developments in various fields of Science, sample excerpts from my writing for which I hope to hear feedback, and my own ramblings of future discoveries/technologies I hope to see in my lifetime.
